CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES

The SBL way of Corporate Responsibility

Our values, vision and strategies form the core entities of SBL foundations on which we accomplish our business. They offer a common understanding of who we are, the values we cherish, our future goals and how we plan to achieve it for our employees and for all those who interact with us.

Our definition of corporate responsibility is deep-seated in the consistent application of the core values which runs through all the endeavours of SBL. We strive to enhance the positive impact of our services across the globe in all our present and future operations. SBL continually fosters social, environmental and economic thoughts into our core practices and decision making, which also connects and balances the needs of our own people and our clientele. These corporate responsibilities sharpen and converge our aim to achieve our business goals.
Ethical Conduct

SBL management systems, procedures and policies, which embrace our Corporate Governance Guidelines, Business Conduct and Ethics Code are integrated with the core principles on which we function and are rudimentary to our allegiance to operate in a conscientious and ethical manner on all our realms of work.
Corporate Governance

SBL is firmly placed on sound principles of corporate governance. These are primarily reflected in our Organizational Policies, statutes and Corporate Governance Guidelines. We vigorously monitor new governance trends and update our own governance practices accordingly.
Business Ethics

We mould our business adhering to the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the letter and spirit of applicable laws in countries where we operate. SBL Code of Conduct and Business Ethics communicate the values that guide our actions and decision making to our employees. It is held mandatory for all the employees to understand the aforementioned code and ethics and to strictly abide by them. These are reviewed, updated and reorganized periodically. Employees should report any questionable conduct to management or Human Resources without delay. Reports of questionable conduct may involve, for instance, violations of the law, the Code of Conduct and Business Ethics or company policies.
Operational Excellence

The embodiment of operational excellence is manifested in the way SBL values its people, protecting them and the environment. We go ahead the curve by systematically managing safety, health, the environment, reliability and efficiency and the operational objectives are integrated at all levels of our global enterprise.

Our aim is directed to prioritize our OE processes to flow uninterruptedly over the next several years spanning all our business arenas.
Environmental protection

ISO 14001:2004 is the international Standard which specifies requirements for an environmental management system and SBL has achieved this accreditation. This enables an organization to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects.

The ISO 14001:2004 specifies SBL commitments to establish, implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system and demonstrate the organization conformity with the International Standards for factors such as the nature of its activities, products and services and the location where and the conditions in which it functions.
ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS)

We are in the final phase of implementing ISMS certification. SBL is committed to guarantee 100% security for all information by adhering to stringent security measures, as per international standards, to eliminate every risk uninterruptedly. SBL complies with all the requirements of ISO 27001 and its procedures for 100% confidentiality to corporate, client and customer information with zero exposure.

Information is made available only to authorized business processes and employees and sensitive information, however stored, is protected against unauthorized access. Information security objectives are established at SBL to support and implement the ISMS policy and to meet requirements for products, services and processes.
